At the origin terminal, all Loading Units undergo an inspection before entry into the rail terminal area.
 

During Gate In, SDG Railway staff and the Terminal Operator verify:

• Documentation accuracy (booking reference, consignment note, and dangerous goods declaration if applicable).

• Condition and identification of the Loading Unit (container, swap body, or trailer).

• Compliance with safety and weight standards prior to train allocation.

Once verified, the unit is registered in SDG Railway’s digital system and assigned to a railcar for loading.
The timestamp of Gate In marks the start of operational responsibility under SDG Railway’s custody.

At the destination terminal, Loading Units are unloaded and inspected prior to release.

During Gate Out, the Terminal Operator and customer representative confirm:

• Integrity and sealing of the unit.

• Absence of visible damage or irregularities.

• Delivery documentation signed and validated (Interchange report or electronic acknowledgment).

The Gate Out timestamp concludes the responsibility of SDG Railway for that shipment.
